Historical Mapping

The acquisition and interrogation of historical maps form an important part of any contaminated land investigation.

They help us to establish a development timeline, from which we can determine the likelihood that contamination, or geotechnical instability may be present at a Site.

As part of the due diligence process required to support of a formal environmental assessment in accordance with EA R&D Document CLR 11, we would typically obtain third party historical Ordnance Survey maps.

We can also obtain historical maps independently to support research into local history, or even just to satisfy curiosity.
